What does the company do well?
Close.IO is a fantastic CRM assuming your looking for a "pure" CRM experience solely focused on building relationships. Because Close.IO doesn't try to be everything to everyone, it's stays a clutter-free interface. The massively powerful search bar on the top is an absolute game changer. Every company is a little bit different so being able to customize a sales CRM to what you need is an obvious need for everyone. I didn’t really know what that meant until I realized how a MySQL-like search function can be a game changer for building “views” that search your entire database using very specific criteria. Those 2 points are what make me a believer in
What does the company not do well?
What makes so great for sales is also what makes it great for everything non-sales. Just to be clear, as of the time of this review 5/21/2018, has no real way to help you manage orders/quotes of any kind. My company is a service-based business with one service so I don’t need to keep track of orders within my CRM but I could see how that could rule out for more physical-based businesses.
What about the company do you wish you had known before purchasing?
I wish I had known that doesn’t do automatic email follow ups like what PersistIQ does. You can have tell you it’s time to send a follow up email but you have to actually click a few buttons/type up an email to actually make that happen. I was not under the impression that Close.IO did that when I signed up but as I start to scale my business, it would really help to have that integrated into Close.
