What does the company do well?
I've used many different social listening tools over the years and Sysomos is definitely near the top of the list in terms of competency. It's easy to use (as long as you know boolean-style queries), the data is easily digestible and I had very few glitches with the product itself.
What does the company not do well?
In a world where the power dynamic is constantly shifting in social, I wonder if Sysomos will be able to remain useful, especially as Twitter use declines. Twitter data is what Sysomos is best for and it lacks the meat from other channels due to API challenges.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using?
It would've been great to get a full tutorial on the product prior to using. Most of it is pretty self-explanatory if you've ever used a social listening tool before, but there were functions of the tool that I discovered later on that would've been useful to know earlier.
