What does the company do well?
Saba has some robust reporting functionality, as well as robust curricula functionality.
What does the company not do well?
User Experience: It is not very customizeable. It is clunky. Slow. After you complete an asset in a course and you close the box, it bumps you back to the top of the page, which is very annoying when you have a course with a lot of assets in it. You have to keep scrolling down. Things like that which make it not slick. Admin Experience: Lots of the terminology and functionality in the admin side of the system is not intuitive. The setup of the system was not tested before released. It also does not have advanced technology running in the website; for instance, you can't click and drag assets in a list within your course, which is basic functionality on websites nowadays. Support: The support team is awful. They do not know anything about their product. It sometimes felt like I was being routed to people in India who were Googling the answer for me, or something. I NEVER felt like I could rely on them for any solutions. Plus they were slow and didn't seem to care.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using?
The sales team is talented - they made me feel like Saba could do no wrong. We threw questions at them left and right, and either they were not being honest, or we did not ask the right questions, because Saba turned out to be far from a good solution for us at the outset. I have heard since I left my company that they have finally figured out how to make Saba run smoothly for them, but that is a big learning curve.
