What does the company do well?
BrightEdge is a great company. They have good customer service and a good product overall. The datacube is super helpful. They are really good at reaching out and communicating, and updating us with new features they have rolled out / are testing. They are good partners and we enjoy working with them.
What does the company not do well?
Their product is expensive and the set up and maintenance required to actually use this product + get the benefits could be a full time job in itself.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using?
This tool is most useful if you set a goal based on a company initiative, make small changes along the way, and track those changes via page groups or keyword groups. It is about making more long term strides as opposed to getting data and reacting fast. The set up and maintenance required to actually use this product could be a full time job in itself. For media companies like us, whose traffic is pretty related to the news cycle, the inability to get more granular data than weekly/monthly makes it difficult to act fast and react. It is generally hard for us to make valuable insights before hitting the YoY mark because metrics are often rolling averages month over month and the sports calendar heavily dictates our traffic so MoM is less valuable
