What does the company do well? Given that Vocus and Cision have joined forceds, Cision continues to be a leader as a PR database provider in North America. We (rEvolution) like the Cision software because it is an easy-to-use, cloud-based platform that provides a national database of reporters, influencers, broadcasters, etc., that we use for a variety of clients. The software works best for when we execute national programs for our clients but also have a need to drill-down and get hyper-local information on whom to target and where. The biggest issues we have with Cision arise from their cost structure, i.e., the ability to have multiple log-ins for example, and/or the ability to reach global audiences.
What does the company not do well? Pricing as it relates to incorporating global contacts
What do you wish you had known about the company before using? Having the ability to merge/upload external databases into the Cision platform can be time consuming & expensive
