What does the company do well?
Beautiful websites on a budget. I've had my site for about two years, and love the functionality and available templates. It's a bit of a learning curve, but once you have it down, it's very simple to update and maintan. They also have a pretty good Knowledge Forum for questions and tutorials.
What does the company not do well?
They've definitely experienced a growth spurt, and I wonder if it's hurting them—or us, the customers. I've had a great experience with them for almost two years, and just in the past couple of months, I've experienced several issues. My MailChimp connection disconnected, with no notification, and it took me hours to restore all the connections. They also had to get their engineers involved. There were a couple of issues, but that was the biggest. And I don't feel like customer service handled it well. That was very disappointing after so many good months.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using?
Hmmm, I felt pretty equipped when I started because the people that designed my site are Squarespace designers, so they prepared me and trained me. Without them, though, the learning curve would've definitely been more steep.
