What does the company do well?
I like how it's user friendly, and you can see all projects/tasks from end to completion without having to communicate to the client via email. The Jira portal makes it convenient for all internal teams to go in and check on the status and priority of items, tracking of bugs, what's in the backlog and time tracking, etc. It's the perfect project management system that keeps everything in one place, it's an easy workflow to follow, and the accessibility that the whole team has makes it extremely time efficient.
What does the company not do well?
There are a lot of features that I still have yet to use, so it's just a matter of learning the function of each one, such as the burndown chart, burnup chart, sprint report, velocity chart, version chart, etc. They have a lot of similar functions so distinguishing them from each other is a task within itself. The onboarding can be overwhelming if you are jumping right into a project, rather than starting it from the ground up, but that takes time to learn.
What do you wish you had known about the company before using?
I wish I had used this sooner! I keep a lot of my personal team task trackers in google sheets, and there is a very limited number of capabilities you can use in regards to project tracking. Jira allows you to do everything from checking the status of an item to creating charts to visually represent your data. If you're a project manager or account manager, and need a software to keep track of all your projects and bugs with your development team, that is also user friendly and easy to view, this is the one to use!
