What does the software or service do well?
Function Point allow for our busy agency to manage multiple project workflows through the use of estimates, schedules, task-able functions, and invoicing. It allow for our team to understand the needs of each project and to appropriately manage their specific schedules with transparency of the needs of the project through the notes and briefs section. Function Point has allowed for ease-of-use for tracking our docket system so that the hundreds of projects at a time are easy to find, review, process, schedule, etc. The real time changes from one team member allow for other team members to be able to understand what is happening at any time with their project deliverables.
What does the software or service not do well?
Function Point is a robust CRM, and with the depth of options and functions in this platform it can sometimes be overwhelming to a new hire to learn the ins and out. The timetracker tool could be more agile if it allowed for workers to run multiple tasks at a time with ease of switching back and forth.
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using?
We did through research before signing on to use Function Point. We went in knowing it would be a steep learning curve that would require time and training. We also knew that as our team grew the costs would increase as well. With these things in mind there have not been any unexpected surprises along the way and overall we are happy with the platform.
