What does the software or service do well? Toggl is a simpler time tracking application, either on your desktop, tablet or mobile phone. Each member in the company where I work is used Toggl to track their time, since we consider that time is essential for profitability in our business model. This software allows us to track the hours dedicated to clients and / or projects. Each employee has multiple functions, so it is important to know where the team is being used in order to identify where we need to add personnel within the company to better address current and future needs.
What does the software or service not do well? They are only small details that can be improved; as a note I can add that: The desktop application is the best of all time tracking applications, but it lacks the brightness of web and iOS interfaces. When I generate a report based on a long date range (as opposed to a single day or week), Toggl provides logged time entries per project, user, or client, according to my search. Each time entry in the report is itemized and includes a description. However, the date and time per entry is not generated with this data. When I create invoices, I have to manually find what the work was done.
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using? Toggl offers many integrations with other software, but we have to know that most of these integrations do not work correctly or less than aesthetics in a professional plan.
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare? So far it has not been necessary to use another software or service, I have worked very well with this tool and it has been useful for me, both personally and professionally.
