What does the software or service do well? Salesloft turns sales reps into demand gen machines. If you want to spam prospects like a marketing automation platform, its easy to do, but the real value is in scalable personalization. When I first started using Salesloft I recycled the same old templates and cadences my colleagues had been using for years. I immediately wrote my own cadence, 100s of templates for every unique use case or bizarre fact I could think of, and started using cadences more like an organizational framework than a defined content journey. This meant I was able to send 200+ personalized emails a day, all while having time to make 100+ calls. Salesloft also serves as a system of record. The integrations with LinkedIn SalesNav, Owler, Sendoso, and most other tech we use allows me to work almost exclusively in Salesloft and I'm only in Salesforce for forecasting and marketing data. Because Salesloft is 10x faster than Salesforce (especially Lightning), this makes my day go by much more smoothly. I can honestly say Salesloft is the one platform our sales team couldn't live without.
What does the software or service not do well? Like any software, Salesloft does occasionally go down, but the support is always top notch and keeps us updated on when the platform will be back to normal. I do think that choosing variances in cadence after the initial email should be improved and occasionally contacts are unattached from the parent account, but almost nobody else on my team cares about either of these things.
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using? Nothing. I have loved it since the start.
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare? We have evaluated Outreach and others but Salesloft's customer service and constantly improving platform haven't seen any holes in Salesloft.
