What does Webs.com do well?
For those just getting started, strapped with a limited budget and/or a novice at websites, webs.com provides an excellent platform to create a website to give you an "address" on the world wide web. Once you get your feet wet, you can move on to a more "robust" site, but many find (including myself) that this fits the bill long term.
What does Webs.com not do well?
Trying to cut and paste can be a bit clunky and I've had issues with type fonts/sizes changes as I tried to copy from one page to the next. But that's about it.
What do you wish you had known about Webs.com before using?
Nothing really as it has been my website platform for more than five years. I've explored taking my game to a "paid" site, but I haven't yet pulled the trigger.
Have you used a competitor to Webs.com? If so, how does it compare?
I did evaluate several other "free" website hosting sites (e.g. Wix), but Webs.com appeared to be the best and it hasn't disappointed me yet.
