What does the software or service do well?
Agorapulse saves me SO many hours in managing my social media as I can schedule, post, engage and reply as well as listen and find mentions about my business. The UI keeps getting better and better and I find it quite intuitive to get around even after updates. The app is handy too for engaging etc on the fly. I really like the mix of queued and scheduled posts as well as being able to do things like reply to Instagram mentions and see Instagram Story stats without them disappearing! The chat/customer support in the dashboard is awesome and I would say they excel at customer service! Love that you can also check YouTube comments on Agorapulse - and reply!
What does the software or service not do well?
Honestly there's not much that concerns me, but I do notice occasional bugs when posting (the odd missed post or two) but it's never really a huge issue and they will always reach out and let you know immediately and will follow up with customer service. I can't honestly say it's any more than any other posting platform I've tried. Sometimes it's about the social media platform not the 3rd party tool. There are always features on my wish list but that's the same with every tool and I think they are pretty responsive with adding features - their queue feature they added after I (and others) bugged them to add one, so they are responsive to customers! A free version would be great though. You can do a free trial for 15 days and you can request a repeat of the free trial, then go to a paid plan. Their plans are cheaper than a lot of other software but for new users or solo business owners, I think a plan with limited features would allow them to love the tool then level up their business to a paid plan. I recommend it to my audience but a lot of them are not quite at the level of upgrade, but would be down the track.
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using?
Maybe I should have had more of a tour of features before starting to use it as I went for a long time without using Agorapulse as well as I should have been. I tend to jump in and see how to use something intuitively rather than doing tours. One thing I like and they could do more of is mini-tutorials in the dashboard help section - ie when you log-in, feature showcases and mini tours can pop up. They do some, but I really respond well to those types of "feature highlights" in-app. Maybe even tailor them to people who are/are not using certain features yet ie Instagram posting.
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare?
Yes, I started with Hootsuite and got frustrated by the multiple columns and never seemed to get caught up with engagement. Then I switched to Sprout Social who had a single inbox and queues which I loved, but the price was higher than Agorapulse so I switched (also because friends were raving about it). With Agorapulse I love the inbox zero and being able to address everything in one inbox for a platform. It makes it so easy to do it all on one platform. And now they have queues and a whole bunch of other features that I love too.
