What does the software or service do well?
Sysomos is a social media monitoring and listening tool which helps in extracting data from various social media platforms like Twitter, blogs, Instagram. It is very easy to use the tool and extraction of data is also easy. One can simply put a query and other filters. data extraction capacity of Sysomos is very awesome and even a newbie can use it, it also has many features like wordcloud, hashtag monitoring, demographics monitoring. Overall one can make a nice social media listening report which includes every aspect of social listening and monitoring. It helped me to solve my clients' various weak points which lead them to solve their problems which were questioned by customers on social media.
What does the software or service not do well?
First of all its data sentiment tagging capacity is quite low and one can't depend on its tagging and second thing is that it has a data limit for downloading data, only 50000 data can be downloaded at a time. Server down problem is very common in Sysomos
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using?
I was a newbie when I started using Sysomos and really want to know more about social listening, Sysomos helped me in easily understanding of this field and helped me in grooming my skill sets of Social listening and monitoring
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare?
Talkwalker is the tool which I used other than Sysomos, It is not so much user-friendly with a newbie as compared to Sysomos. Also, data extraction is also simple in Sysomos whereas Talkwalker has more filters than Sysomos and which helps in extracting more and useful data. However, Sentiment tagging capacity of Sysomos is better than Talkwalker but data visualization in Talkwalker is better
