What does Xcode do well?
I mean it’s a huge IDE for your code projects and a necessity for iOS development. It is a necessary evil but it is good at quite a few things beyond that. It can do almost any kind of code editing and can fit your workflows.
What does Xcode not do well?
It’s BLOATED like way beyond anything you could imagine and it also is tied to the OS version and involves so much jumping through hoops for simple things. You don’t just “open it” to do something. It’s slow.
What do you wish you had known about Xcode before using?
It is true you can have multiple versions installed at once but you really don’t wanna do this. It throws everything haywire.
Have you used a competitor to Xcode? If so, how does it compare?
Jetbrains, Android Studio, Dreamweaver
