What does TenantCloud do well?
Manage properties in a scalable fashion. Uses a website that is modern looking, not archaic DOS looking prompts. Good at client portals, servicepro portals, payments, leases, etc. Pretty much well rounded app. I spent a TON of effort researching various apps. I settled on this one because as a new property manager, it was built to grow with me. You can start out VERY inexpensively as you go. The price DESTROYS the competition.
What does TenantCloud not do well?
Service is sort of slow. They use lots of automated messages which is annoying instead of reading what you write out. Also, no phone, no chat. Only their slower system of internal email. Very clean looking, just not as prompt or as thorough as I would like. Additionally, I wish it would tie into a credit check company. Having the ability to report on-time and missed payment to a credit bureau would be phenomenal.
What do you wish you had known about TenantCloud before using?
Not much here, was worth it and I still like it the best.
Have you used a competitor to TenantCloud? If so, how does it compare?
Yes, MUCH better. I used Buildium and rentdirect I think. They were both satisfactory. However, the accounting was miserable on those. Tenantcloud, thoughtfully makes that user friendly and from the property managers perspective.
