What does the software or service do well?
Until now I had been with TaxAct, for years. It's easy to use. I left because customer service is terrible, and the price has increased every year. For someone who prepare 100 returns annually the cost is prohibitive.
What does the software or service not do well?
The sales people are sarcastic. If you send a question to support, they may not respond, for two days.
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using?
I wish I had known customer service and support were limited. It didn't use to be this way. I used TaxAct for nearly 20 years, but no longer.
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare?
I purchased OLTPro, for the 2019 tax year. It is as easy to use and is priced right.
