What does AnyDesk do well?
AnyDesk is one of the best remote control solutions out there, that helps users to access their files and documents anywhere they go. It comes in with a built in address book, which allows you to track active contractors and check the status of ongoing collaborations. Remote administration tool lets you use file sharing, remote rebooting, sessions reporting, automated invoicing and billing. In addition to that, you can set up your own personalized interface to help you navigate easier.
What does AnyDesk not do well?
The biggest downfall of AnyDesk is the servers. It is very slow while file transfering and sometimes it even crashes if you don't have a perfect internet connection, which completely crushes the idea of "connecting to any desk" wherever you go. The system doesn't seem secure at all, as it is so easy to connect by simply clicking one button.
What do you wish you had known about AnyDesk before using?
AnyDesk is easy to use, cheap and fast. There are a few flaws in the software and does need to have some improvements - making it more secure to connecting for a start. But overall the functions they have provided are useful and very much needed.
Have you used a competitor to AnyDesk? If so, how does it compare?
Even if AnyDesk is cheap, the free version doesn't have that much to offer compared to Teamviewer. If I had the option to use one software for free, I would pick Teamviewer with its many tools given for free.
