What does Skype for Business do well? Skype for Business is very helpful to communicate with other team members both in my local office, as well as across the company. You also have the capability to communicate with Skype users outside of the organization as well. It is very basic and simple to use, and does not require extensive training.
What does Skype for Business not do well? Skype for Business does not incorporate other platforms well. It is less extensive and complex than it's competitors.
What do you wish you had known about Skype for Business before using? I wish I had known how to organize Skype for Business effectively. I also wish I knew if the chats are saved or recorded so I could look back on them for reference when needed. Whenever I restart my computer, my Skype chats are also erased.
Have you used a competitor to Skype for Business? If so, how does it compare? Compared to Slack, or Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business is fairly basic. It is easy to use and operate, and does not require extensive training to understand. However, if you need a more complex platform and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple users, Skype is not the best option.
