What does monday.com do well?
My team uses Monday as a project management system. In that sense, it's pretty similar to other softwares out there. I like the Monday has a user friendly portal and is modern and visually appealing. It comes with pre-loaded templates which helps you learn how to use it. I also like that built into the navigation is an option to see what you have going on within the week.
What does monday.com not do well?
Like any project management software, Monday has a learning curve to it. To really know how to optimize it's features you're going to want to review all of the trainings that it offers. The sticky navigation it a little limiting - especially if you've used more powerful tools like Salesforce in the past.
What do you wish you had known about monday.com before using?
I wish I had known more about the in-depth capabilities of Monday before using. My company picked it because it's very cost effective but I'm not sure if you can set up projects to auto trigger deadlines and team member tasks.
Have you used a competitor to monday.com? If so, how does it compare?
I'd used a lot of competitors of Monday before, such as Salesforce, Basecamp, Asana, and Proworkflow. It'd say it's very similar to Asana in most aspects but outperforms. Salesforce is still the most powerful tool in my opinion but is much more expensive.
