What does the software or service do well?
Before Monday.com our marketing team was keeping track of projects on excel sheets, random emails, and hand-written notes. Nothing was organized, but now we can see exactly when a new marketing request is submitted and who it is assigned to. Progress is easy to track and if a team member is every unsure about what to do, they can just chat with me right in the project.
What does the software or service not do well?
I wish that Monday.com was able to integrate with Quickbooks accounting software. I know it's a stretch, but it would be great if we can track projects and the costs that are associated with them. Other than that, the software runs great and I love using it!
What do you wish you had known about the software or service before using?
I wish I had know about the user permissions feature before buying into the product. You can't restrict certain users access unless you have the "Pro" plan. Right now we have the "Standard" plan. Upgrading will cost only a little extra per user.
Have you used a competitor to the software or service? If so, how does it compare?
I have used Trello in the past as a free solution to run projects. However, Monday.com has way more features and capabilities when compared to Trello. You can customized certain project boards and groups with unlimited options in Monday.com. Trello only has a few organization options.
