What does Trello do well?
Trello is a fantastic and easy way to manage a project. The bar to entry is low due to pricing as well as accessibility. It is a flexible platform that allows you to organize a project however works best. You create the boards that make most sense for the project and assign tasks underneath them. It also has great functionality for messaging with others working on the project within tasks.
What does Trello not do well?
It is an open-ended platform so it can be challenging to create a stable project management setup. The flexibility makes it hard to know where to start and although they have many templates, each project is different so it is hard to get your project up and running to share with others.
What do you wish you had known about Trello before using?
I wish I had realized how beneficial it is to work from one of their templates. Since the format is so open-ended, it can be time consuming to create a project format that works for each specific project and their templates are a wealth of knowledge.
