What does Constant Contact do well?
Constant Contact is a way to aggregate customer information and message them with mass e-mail campaigns. It does keep your lists in the platform, allow you to create mass e-mails, and provide reports and feedback on how well your message did.
What does Constant Contact not do well?
I overall do not enjoy working in Constant Contact. I think that the platform is very chunky and hard to work with. I don't think that the platform gives you a large range of custom design opportunities unless you are a skilled web-designer, and I don't think that the platform gives you the best information and helps you to try to overcome those obstacles.
What do you wish you had known about Constant Contact before using?
I wish I had known how hard it was to design. I've used many other platforms since leaving Constant Contact and all of them are more user friendly. The other platforms allow marketing managers and designers who are not web designers to enter the programs rather freely. Constant Contact has a higher barrier of entry.
Have you used a competitor to Constant Contact? If so, how does it compare?
I have used Google and MailChimp.
