What does Highfive do well?
Highfive is very easy to use -- it is simple to setup any number of virtual conference rooms with any number of people. All that needs to be done is to create a unique url for your company and ot invite people to join. It is also very helpful that they have hardware options for conference room webcams and there are many integrations into other software like Slack.
What does Highfive not do well?
Highfive could make it easier to know who is talking. User videos are not starred or shuffled when they are talking so it is not always ease to tell and I sometimes find too many people fighting to talk. The amount of audio and video settings is too few as well. Advanced features like blurring backgrounds, etc. would also be useful. Highfive is very easy to use, but simplicity comes at a cost -- there isn't as much customization possible.
What do you wish you had known about Highfive before using?
I wish I had known that they had all of the third party integrations and their mobile app.
Have you used a competitor to Highfive? If so, how does it compare?
I have used Zoom, GoToMeeting, Google Hangouts, and Skype. All of them serve their purpose but because highfive is so easy to use, and it's available hardware options, it makes the most sense for the widest range of users.
